The engineering classes, under Major Frank L. Martin, Captain T.E. Leet, and Professor Barton, recently finished a complete campus survey.
Joseph R. Farrell, contractor and builder, recently spoke to the PMC Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Captain Lester L. Lessig, contracting engineer for McClintic Marshall Corporation in Philadelphia, spoke to the PMC Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The PMC Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers will meet with the University of Delaware chapter in February 1934.
Professor Barton of the Civil Engineering Department was recently elected President of the Rittenhouse Astronomical Society of Philadelphia.
"Cadet Quintet Trims St. Joseph Shooters"
The PMC basketball team defeated St. Joseph's College by the score 25-22 on January 27, 1934. Team: Frank Malinski; Jim Weaver.
"Cadet Poloists Win From Allenhurst in Sparkling Battle"
The PMC polo team defeated Allenhurst by the score 6-1/2 to 3-1/2 on January 13, 1934 in the Metropolitan Indoor Polo League championship tournament. Team: Joe Poor; Clarence "Bud" Combs; Jack Young.
"Football Team is Honored"
The 1933 football team was honored on December 13, 1933 at the Chester Club by business and professional men of Delaware County. The Exchange Club, Rotary Club, and Kiwanis Club of Chester sponsored the event. Notables in attendance: J. Borton Weeks; J. Ward Palmer; Mayor William Ward, Jr. of Chester; William B. McClenachan, assistant district attorney; Si Pauxis, former coach; Coach Jud Timm; Rev. Charles Urban, assistant rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Chester; Colonel Frank K. Hyatt.

The entire senior class and Major Martin visited the Philadelphia automobile show on January 15, 1934.

The PMC polo team defeated the new York Athletic Club by the score 10-1/2 to 7-1/2 on January 27, 1934 in the annual championship tournament of the Metropolitan League. Team: Joe Poor; Bud Combs; Jack Young.
"Cadets Ride to Victory in New York"
The PMC polo team defeated Squadron A by the score 9-1/2 to 4-1/2 on January 20, 1934 in the Metropolitan Indoor Polo Championship tournament. Team: Joe Poor; Bud Combs; Jack Young.
"J.V. Poloists Lose to 'Whips'"
The PMC junior varsity polo team lost to the "Whips" by the score 11 to 10-1/2 on January 27, 1934. Team: Scarlett; Pickering; Carels.
"Cadets Vanquish Lafayette Five"
The PMC basketball team defeated Lafayette by the score 30-18 on January 17, 1934.
"Junior Poloists Lose to Lawrenceville"
The PMC junior varsity polo team lost to Lawrenceville School by the score 12-5 on January 20, 1934. Team: Carels; Pickering; Kaiser.

The Alumni Association President James A.G. Campbell, Jr., class of 1920, announces that he will start a column to appear on the "P.M.C. Alumni News" page in each issue. Campbell announces that an Alumni Athletic Consultant Committee has replaced the previous Athletic Council.
Harold De Lancey Downs, class of 1897, has been appointed as purchasing agent for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
G.E. Hafleigh, class of 1924, recently visited South America for nine weeks. His PMC Spanish teacher "Doc" Burdick is mentioned.
"Executions of the Executive Committee"
The Executive Committee of the Alumni Association met in Philadelphia on December 4, 1933. President James A.G. Campbell, Jr. presided. Athletic Consultant Committee members: Campuzano, class of 1921; Hanna, 1930; Leet, 1917; Pauxits; Campbell, 1920. The Executive Committee instituted a Five-Year Life Membership Plan for $10. Mr. C. Edwin Webb, class of 1903, had several members of the committee as guests on December 14, 1933 at the Penn Athletic Club. The next meeting is scheduled for January 11, 1934 at the Hotel Walton in Philadelphia.

George Chapman Swope Biddle, a PMC graduate, married Eleanor May Kerr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Kerr of Philadelphia, on January 13, 1934. They reside in Stonehurst, PA.
