In October 1934 at Chicago, the Society of Automotive Engineers conferred a gold medal upon Dr. O.B. Zimmerman for distinguished service. Zimmerman received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from PMC in 1919. A brief biography of Zimmerman follows.

Cyrus L. Wagner, a Bucknell University graduate in 1931, replaces Walter F. Layer (resigned) as instructor of mathematics and English in the Preparatory Department. Wagner will also direct physical education.
"Robert A. Ross"
Former student Robert A. Ross died recently at New Cumberland, PA. Hee is survived by his widow, daughter, and his sister Baroness von Bestecki of Bella Vista.

Enright Lewis Ellis, former cadet of Downingtown, PA, will marry Gail Hutchings Atherton, PA. Hutchings is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Foster Atherton of Glen Falls, NY.

Henry R. White, PMC graduate of Philadelphia, married Eleanor Agnes Brittingham on August 1, 1934 at Annapolis, MD. Brittingham is the daughter of Mrs. Josephine Brittingham. The Whites live in Lansdowne, PA. White works for the Pennsylvania State Highway Department.
David Balir, Jr., PMC graduate of Indiana, PA, married Margaret Polhemus recently. Polhemus is the daughter of Mrs. Margaret M. Polhemus of Ashland, MA. The Blairs live in Framingham, MA.

Dr. Franklin G. Williams has been appointed Professor of Mathematics. A brief biography is provided.

Charles J. Thomas, class of 1909, is an account representative of the Acady Press at Portland, OR.
Albert H. Atterbury, class of 1876 and an attorney in New York, often provides a scholarship for PMC cadets. The financial support is appreciated in the current economic situation.
