"Six Hundred Chester Citizens Pay Warm Tribute to PMC's Undefeated Football Squad"
More than 600 Chester citizens gathered at PMC's Armory on January 31, 1935 to celebrate the 1934 undefeated football team. A testimonial dinner was held. In attendance: Colonel Frank K. Hyatt; Harry Stuhldreher, Villanova coach; "Rip" Miller, former Notre Dame star and now a Naval Academy coach; Marty Brill, La Salle coach; Emid Thomas, St. Joseph's College coach; Gerald Doherty, athletic director of the University of Delaware; Judson Timm; Chester Mayor William Ward, Jr.; Pennsylvania State Representative Ellwood Turner. A quote from an article written by Ross E. Kauffman of the _Philadelphia Evening Bulletin_ is cited.

Colonel Clarence T. Starr, class of 1899, addressed the cadet battalion on February 8, 1935 on his experiences living in Russia.
"Cadet Cavalry Unit Wins Applause in the Inaugural Parade of Governor Earle"
The PMC cavalry unit took part in a Harrisburg parade for Pennsylvania Governor Elect Earle. A PMC unit last visited Harrisburg in order to aid Governor Curtin in aiding the city against a Civil War invasion by General Robert E. Lee. Those in the inaugural parade: Colonel Frank K. Hyatt; Lieutenant Ted Comfort; "Happy Bud" Clarence Combs; Jack Young.
"Cadet poloists Win One and Lose One in Phila."
The PMC polo team defeated the 109th Field Artillery by the score 12-5 on February 2, 1935. PMC then lost to the All-Philadelphia Team by the score 5 to 1-1/2 also on the same day.
"Yale Wins Over P.M.C."
The PMC varsity polo team lost to Yale University by the score 17-1/2 to 5-1/2 on February 16, 1935. Team: Kaiser. The PMC junior varsity team lost to the 109th Field Artillery by the score 15 to 6-1/2 also on the same day.
"Cadet Stickmen Win One; Lose One"
The PMC varsity polo team defeated the Quakers by the score 14 to 10-1/2 on January 12, 1935. Team: Warner Jones. The PMC second polo team lost to Greystone by the score 16-1/2 to 1-1/2 the same day.
"Cadet Passers Easily Down Delaware"
The PMC basketball team defeated the University of Delaware by the score 40-29 on January 18, 1935. Team: Jim Weaver. The PMC junior varsity basketball team lost to the University of Delaware junior varsity by the score 35-29 in a preliminary game.
"Cadets Take Villanova"
The PMC basketball team defeated Villanova University by the score 35-30 on February 6, 1935.
"College Basketmen Beaten by St. Joseph College"
The PMC basketball team lost to St. Joseph's College by the score 38-32 on January 26, 1935. Team: Russell McGuiney; Frank Malinski.
"Cadet Poloists Win Two Games in Philadelphia"
The PMC varsity polo team defeated All Philadelphia by the score 12-7 on February 9, 1935. The PMC junior varsity polo team defeated the First City Troop by the score 9-8 on the same day. An excerpt from a _Philadelphia Record_ article by Mike Devitt is included. Team: Jack Young, co-captain.

The PMC basketball team lost to Yale University by the score 41-23 on January 12, 1935.
"Cadet Romance"
The engagement of Cadet Captain Stanton S. von Grabill and E. Louise Hearne is recounted. It is also revealed how von Grabill's father won back the family's hereditary title in Germany. Thus, von Grabill is actually a baron.

"Richard Wetherill"
Richard Wetherill, chairman of the Resident Committee of the Board of Trustees, died recently. He and his late brother Robert were prominent Chester bankers with the Chester-Cambridge Bank and Trust Company. PMC graduates in the family: son Robert Wetherill, JR., class of 1900; John L. Wetherill, class of 1905; grandson Richard Wilson, class of 1925.
"Wedding"
Frank Miller Risser, Preparatory class of 1931 and PMC class of 1935, will marry Dorothy Elizabeth Spence on February 2, 1935. Spence is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Spence.
"J.V. Poloists Lose to Artillery Stickmen"
The PMC junior varsity polo team lost to the 112th Artillery by the score 14-1/2 to 6 on February 8, 1935. Team: Al Plaut.
"Society Happenings During Christmas Holidays"
The PMC Assembly Ball was held at the Four Horsemen Club. Many cadets and alumni attended.
The International was a popular spot during the holidays, often frequented by Jack Young.
Howard Lanin's Town Casino was also popular, especially with Sidney Daroff.
